Tips for Getting Readings 1. The usual wait-time for to schedule an in-person reading is 4-6 weeks. At present Judith is only scheduling in-person readings for people she has read for previously in-person or by phone or in online chat or via Skype. 2. Readings by phone or in online chat, can usually be scheduled in 1-3 days, depending on how compatible your schedule is with Judith's. Don't expect the reading to be scheduled for the same day as you contact Judith. For info about the difference among in-person, phone, online chat, and Skype video readings, please see tarot.judithlaura.com/readfaqs.html 3.Response time is usually quicker if you contact Judith by email rather than phone. 4. Here is the procedure for appointments and payments:  Contact Judith, preferably by email. In your email specify  (1) what type of reading you want  (phone? online chat? Skype?) and for how long; (2) what days and times you are available for the next month for in-person readings, and for the next week for phone and online readings, for the next 2-3 weeks for video readings via Skype. Please note, Judith's reading hours are currently afternoons only ET on both weekdays and weekends. (3) If requesting an in-person reading, please include both your first and last name in your email. (4) For phone, online chat, and Skype readings, make payment through link on this page at least 1 hour before appointment time. 4. We are NOT within most people's walking distance of a Metrorail stop. 5. Judith is NOT doing parties or readings in group settings at this time. Readings & Classes
Judith Laura began reading Tarot in the 1970s.  She reads privately in person in the Washington, DC, area, and for everyone in online chat (since 1997), by phone, and recently added, via Skype, both audio and video.  She has  clients locally, across the U.S., and internationally. At the present time, in-person readings are limited to persons Judith has read for before either in-person or by phone, online chat, or Skype .

Judith Laura has served on the advisory committee of the American Board for Tarot Certification, a group of experts outside of ABTC that advised the Board on certification and other matters of concern to the Tarot community. She has been featured reader at the 20^th Anniversary Party of The Writer’s Center in Bethesda MD, The Center in Laurel MD, and the annual picnic of Amethyst/NCGR (an astrology organization) in Silver Spring, MD.

Judith Laura’s approach to Tarot is spiritual, intuitive, and practical. Her interpretations are enlightened, flexible, non-judgmental and inclusive. She believes Tarot can help people understand the past and present, and prepare for the future. Similar to a weather forecast, where the meteorologist looks at past and present weather patterns and predicts the likely outcome in what the weather will be tomorrow, Tarot allows us to look at the past and present of a situation and estimate what the likely outcome will be if things continue on the present track. It is very important to remember, however, that the future is not set in stone. By knowing what influences are around us and what the likely outcome is, we can take better advantage of opportunities, prepare ourselves for change, and often, if we wish, modify the ultimate outcome.  How you use the information provided by the reading is up to you. Judith advises that you not take the information from readings with her or anyone else as the last word on the matter. Instead, she recommends considering information from the reading along with information you have from other sources, and then making your own informed decisions.

Judith Laura subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the American Tarot Association, which states regarding readings:
•I will serve the best interests of my clients, conducting my professional activities without causing or intending to cause harm.
•I will treat all my clients with equal respect, regardless of their origin, race, religion, gender, age, or sexual preference.
•I will represent honestly my Tarot qualifications, including educational credentials, levels of certification and experience.
•I will keep confidential the names of clients and all information shared or discussed during readings, unless otherwise requested by the client or required by a court of law.
•I will recommend clients consult a licensed professional for advice of a legal, financial, medical, or psychological nature that I am not qualified to provide. If trained in one of these areas, I will clearly differentiate between the tarot reading and any professional advice additionally provided.
•I will respect my clients' right to refuse or terminate their reading at any time, regardless of prior consent.

Tarot consultation is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, or legal counseling. It is important to be aware that although valuable guidance can be provided through Tarot and through spirit, you always retain free will and are responsible for your decisions and actions. At the urging of people for whom Judith read, in 1998 she began teaching Tarot. She is no longer teaching the very beginning aspects of Tarot, such as the meanings of the cards.
